RELOCATION CARTON

They are not only practical, but also almost indispensable when moving: moving boxes. Even if the cartons are "only" made of cardboard, there are some costs, because even in the cheap online shop you have to expect prices of up to two euros per cardboard box. Alternatively, there are relocation boxes, of course, also in the local construction market, but the costs can be even higher.

Alternative: lending relocation cartons

A new trend, which has its advantages, is the lending of moving boxes. A large number of dealers are now available online, but freight forwarders are also increasing the number of moving boxes to customers and interested parties. The big advantage is that borrowing boxes is often cheaper than buying, and in addition, resources are spared and the environment is doing good. In addition, the cartons are released immediately after the move and do not have to worry about the disposal.

It is also very cost-conscious to ask for friends or family. Often there are still a lot of boxes, which in some cellars or garages, a sad existence exist and would be very much for their own move.

How many cartons are needed?
The big question, which is not so easy to answer: How many cartons are actually needed for the move, so that everything can be stored safely? There is a good rule of thumb for this: per square meter of living space, at least half a carton, or rather a whole carton, should be planted.

It is ultimately, of course, always important what should be put into the carton. Furnishings with large volumes or rather compact objects? Weighty things or rather light things? Depending on the contents, therefore, very different cartons can be required. There are, for example, special cartons for books, clothes or pictures (frames).

In general, more and more cartons should be bought or lent out than is likely to be needed. Thus, one does not have too little storage space and does not endanger the smooth running of the move.
