THE COMPANY MOVE - THIS HAS TO BE CONSIDERED

Especially for growing companies, the available spaces can be too small or no longer sufficiently suitable. Perhaps also the rental contracts are running out and make the move into new business premises necessary.

As a first step in the event of a new company move, all employees and the works council must be informed. For some employees, such a move can be a major undertaking, for example if a change of residence is due to move to another city.

Information should also be given to authorities, such as the financial authorities, associations, chambers or the trade office. At all, good planning of all processes is absolutely crucial, so that no problems arise during the actual relocation. For a company, time is quite literally money and the loss of work that results from a move should be kept as low as possible.

Company move with forwarding?

A move to self-government is hardly possible for a company. The time needed and the organization can hardly be estimated as a mistake for "relocation" and could cost a lot of valuable time. Insurance protection is also an important criterion which speaks of trusting in the experience of a solid forwarding company. In addition, if heavy and particularly valuable equipment or machines have to be transported, the relocation is no longer a private example. If the damage is caused by the removal of the goods, the freight forwarder is liable in the event of the case and financial losses can be excluded.

Attention: If you are dealing with really high-priced moving goods, then an additional insurance should be taken into account, since the usual hedges only offer up to EUR 620 per cubic meter of insurance cover.

Costs can be saved if the employees actively help with the move. In addition, the cost is determined by the quantity of goods to be transported. Before maturing thoroughly can thus significantly reduce labor costs and costs.

What should be considered after the company move

The address of the new company location should be communicated to customers and business partners before the relocation. This works particularly well and memorably via separate circular letters by mail or e-mail. However, the new contact data should be highlighted for a while in the correspondence from the new location, in order to remember the changes. In order to exclude the possibility that a postpost is lost, a forwarding application should be made at the post office at an early stage, but at the latest from the removal date itself.

Important for companies: All documents relating to the move should be collected in order to make the costs incurred tax-deductible.
